Father and son killed in fatal Louisiana car accident

A tragic fatal car accident in Louisiana took the lives of two men. One man, a 54-year-old, and his 18-year-old son were both seriously injured in the course of the crash. Neither was able to overcome the injuries that they suffered and were pronounced dead at the site of the collision; three other people survived this car accident. The two men killed left behind their church and family.

The motor vehicle collision occurred when an automobile traveling southbound in the northbound lanes slammed into the car moving northward. The impact sent the second vehicle into an 18-wheeler also traveling north. The car then moved off the roadway before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The driver of the tractor-trailer did not suffer any injuries in the crash. The 53-year-old woman in the vehicle with the two victims who died was also injured and is receiving treatment. Officials believe that alcohol may have played a role in the car accident and continue to investigate. The driver allegedly responsible is not yet facing any charges.

The surviving victims in this car accident have the right to file civil claims for their personal injury and other damages. Furthermore, the loved ones of those who died can also file claims for their wrongful deaths. These victims, and those of other fatal car accidents in Louisiana, can take action for the trauma that they face. By taking action, these victims may find comfort in the midst of their grief and hold the negligent party responsible.
